Mariann Ward

Mariann Ward is the founder and CEO of Merakisis, a woman owned wholesale distribution company. Our focus is to meet the needs of our customers with excellent customer satisfaction while mentoring women in business and giving back to non-profit companies that focus on women’s needs. 

Mariann has over 40 years of experience managing and consulting, nationally and internationally, in various Electric Utility, Healthcare, and Non-Profit Organizations. Twenty of those years were specific to Electric Utility's new business design and construction. Mariann managed both designers and construction crews. Clients included commercial developers, residential customers, municipalities, counties, and federal government agencies. She and her teams have successfully developed a record of positive outcomes, cost-savings performance, and on-time delivery during “fast track” design/construction execution phases and vendor product receipts. Mariann’s strong facilitation skills enhance client communication and encourage positive outcomes. She has been a program presenter for multiple National Technical Conferences: i.e., Electric Utilities Cost Group (EUCG) semi-annual conference, Fossil Operations & Maintenance Information Service (FOMIS) 

Mariann Ward’s significant strengths are in operational and financial executive management. She has considerable experience in strategic facility planning and construction. This includes project management/development: reviewing client processes, establishing client programmatic requirements, facility specifications, project budgets, and schedules design and construction, as well as project closeout. 

Additionally, Mariann has been involved with several non-profit boards focusing on the needs of women and children. During the pandemic, she was Chair of the United Food Bank Board, a Feeding America-affiliated food bank in Mesa, Arizona. She also has been affiliated with organizations that focus on mentoring staff and women in business. Her consulting expertise focused on operational review and construction projects for healthcare organizations.
