Having spent many years in the electric and construction industries where women are in the minority, I have seen first-hand the value of supporting, mentoring, and promoting women in the workplace. As a woman-owned business, Merakisis is built on this foundation.
As part of our commitment to this effort, Merakisis provides college internships and has ‘giving back to women’ programs.
My daughters and I, also women in the industry, mentor individuals and lead mentoring groups to further personal and professional development for all involved—these mentoring groups cross-age and cultural boundaries, allowing for a better understanding of our culturally diverse world.

Speaking Up allows Merakisis to identify, prevent, and correct potential issues or harm to Merakisis, our employees, customers, partners or communities.
We have or are currently supporting multiple worthwhile non-profit organizations whose focus is supporting women and children.
We each have a different passion: breast cancer awareness, food bank board leadership, dyslexia awareness education, battered women’s shelters, and children’s and women’s chorus board leadership. We are committed to sharing and promoting opportunities for women just as others support us.
